US spot Bitcoin ETFs have passed Satoshi Nakamoto to become the world’s largest Bitcoin holder, according to data compiled by Shaun Edmondson and shared by Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas. As of December 5th, these funds have accumulated approximately 1,104,000 BTC, exceeding Satoshi’s stock of 1.1 million Bitcoin.

The milestone puts the group in a leading position compared to various prominent stock exchanges, governments and high-profile players such as MicroStrategy, which has 402,100 BTC in his portfolio. Balchunas had previously predicted this development. The analyst also predicted that spot Bitcoin ETFs would overtaking gold ETFs in size for Christmas.
The ETFs’ rapid accumulation demonstrates significant investor interest in Bitcoin exposure through regulated investment vehicles, despite the recent launch of these products in the US market.
On Thursday, spot Bitcoin ETFs saw net inflows of $766 million, extending their winning streak to six consecutive days, per Farside Investors data.
